Survey results about children's instincts in emergency situations from a survey conducted by UL in 2009. The survey included questions for both parents and children grades K-5. The study suggested that parents have an opportunity to build children's "Safety IQ" including information about emergency events, hazardous objects, and who to go to in case of an emergency. The study also showed where parents and children got information about safety. Questions and responses by percentages are reported here. Survey results can be used to determine the highest need areas for children to build safety awareness.
