Wild About Safety with Timon & Pumbaa: Safety Smart® On The Go!

A collection of hands-on activities that reuse, recycle and repurpose common materials to teach basic sustainability practices. Products created out of reused products include egg carton bugs, envelopes, pen pots, planters, napkin ring holders, placemats, picture frames, and a twig journal. Students go beyond recycling when they use these activities, either individually or as a set, in the classroom or in an afterschool program.

Children move about using different modes of independent transportation including bicycles, skateboards, and snowboards. This collection of fun videos shows children being reminded in some laugh-out-loud ways to remember their safety equipment. There's even a video about the dangers of 'smartphone' walking. The videos can be used in school classrooms, afterschool programs, or at home.

When Timon and Pumbaa discover their favorite vacation spot has been harmed by pollution, they learn how to be Safety Smart® about the environment. Setting off with their Safety Smart® checklist, they identify several things they can do to help make sure the land, water, and air around them is clean and safe.
