How much water do you use everyday?

A collection of hands-on activities that reuse, recycle and repurpose common materials to teach basic sustainability practices. Products created out of reused products include egg carton bugs, envelopes, pen pots, planters, napkin ring holders, placemats, picture frames, and a twig journal. Students go beyond recycling when they use these activities, either individually or as a set, in the classroom or in an afterschool program.

This 3.5 minute video includes safety tips for families who use a live tree for their holiday decorations and includes footage from the UL Fire Lab showing side-by-side burns of a watered and unwatered pine tree in a home. Can be sent home to families with a happy holidays letter from teacher or school.
